尺八の価値は斑の様子や切り株の容姿、そして、太さや重さ、持ち易さ吹き易さなどで決まりますが、楽器としての第一要素は音質、音量、発音、勝率の是非でありますから製作者はその違いを聞き分ける耳や吹き分ける力量がなければ自分の作った尺八にどれほどの価値があるものなのかを知ることが出来ません。

●尺八詳細　Shakuhachi detail

一尺八寸管(1.8 key is D)　390g　筒周三寸六分　歌口都山流(mouse style is Tozan)

全体に濃淡のある美しい斑があり、株も剛健で稀品級の竹材です。発音、音色、音量全てに於いて最高級品です。

"The Shakuhachi is in the key of D, it weighs 390g, with a circumference of about 11cm, and is complete with a mouthpiece in the style of Kinko-ryu. This shakuhachi has unusual black spot patterning and has black sesame marking near the base roots. This bamboo is very rare and is a pleasure to play.

プロフィール　profile

萌山銘尺八の製作者村田萌山は十六才で尺八演奏家三好芫山師に入門以来五十四年演奏技術を修得し、製作技術は尺八師玉井竹仙に四年間師事。その後尺八製作真山工房で四年間働いた後に独立して萌山工房を構え、以来四十三年の経験を積み重ねて尺八製作に精進致しております。

Hozan shakuhachi is the creator and professional player of the shakuhachi, has mastered playing techniques for 54 years since he was introduced to the shakuhachi player Miyoshi Genzan at the age of 16, and studied the production techniques under the shakuhachi master Tamai chikuzen for four years. After working at the shakuhachi production shinzan studio for four years, he set up the hozan studio independently, and since then he has accumulated 43 years of experience and is devoting himself to the shakuhachi production.
